REGULAR MEETING
October 4, 2011

CALL MEETING TO ORDER:  Chairperson Macro called the meeting to order at 8:15 pm

ROLL CALL
Members present:        Chairperson Macro, Commissioner FitzPatrick, Commissioner Pitcock, Commissioner Klein
Members absent: Commissioner Jennings
Alternates present:     Commissioner Foley, Commissioner Evans, Commissioner Taylor
Alternates absent:      None

Commissioner Evans was sitting for Commissioner Jennings.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION:  
  • Mr. Les Clapp, 1726 Main Street.
  • Mr. Greg Neary, 1576 Main Street.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
  • Motion by Commissioner Macro, seconded by Commissioner FitzPatrick was made to approve the minutes of the Public Hearing held on September 6, 2011. The motion carried unanimously.
  • Motion by Commissioner Macro, seconded by Commissioner FitzPatrick was made to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held on September 6, 2011. The motion carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
  • Motion to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for Application #3.11, construction of a house on the rear lot at 1576 Main Street as shown on plans submitted, with the stipulation that the west façade (as shown on plan 2454, sheet 2 of 4) be brick and incorporate details shown by Mr. Sunderland, was made by Commissioner Evans, seconded by Commissioner Klein, and unanimously approved.
  • Motion to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for Application #5.11, submitted by Linda Henderson for a horse shed (12’ X 18’) in the pasture at 1668 Main Street, pending approval of the location on a plot plan, was made by Commissioner FitzPatrick, seconded by Commissioner Klein, and unanimously approved.
  • Motion to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for Application #6.11, submitted by Linda Henderson for vinyl replacement windows at 1658 Main Street, was made by Commissioner Evans, seconded by Commissioner Klein, and unanimously approved.
OLD BUSINESS:
  • Mr. Neary was present and discussed his plan to modify the existing driveway for the rear house and install another driveway just to the north for access to the garage at 1576 Main Street as it appears on the plan submitted with application # 3.11.
ADJOURNMENT:
Commissioner FitzPatrick moved to adjourn the meeting at 10:18 pm; seconded by Commissioner Pitcock.  The motion carried unanimously.
